“아시아 최대 아트마켓”인 KIAF와 열리는 시기에 킴킴 갤러리가 개최하는 구민자 아트페어는 작가 구민자가 소유한 작품을 포함한 모든 것 (작업관련 오브제들, 일상적인 물품에 이르는)을 판매한다. 2003년에서 2013년 사이의 모든 사물이 망라되는 이번 아트페어 이후 작가는 새로운 삶을 살게 된다.
구민자 아트페어는 그동안 크레이지 마케팅에 주력해 온 킴킴 갤러리의 또 다른 아트마켓이다. 작가 구민자의 솔드 아웃의 의지는 드라마틱한 상행위의 일부임이 분명하며, 이를 통해 킴킴 갤러리는 비정규적인 방법으로 경제 시스템에 접근하고자 한다.
The Guminja Art Fair will be hosted by Kim Kim Gallery. The booth will be selling a convolute of objects owned by the artist, Minja Gu, from the years 2003 to 2013. Sold are both : items of daily life and items from the artist's studio, including genuine artworks, as well as objects related to them. Upon closure of the booth, the artist, Minja Gu, will start a new period in her work and life.
Guminja Art Fair is a marketplace organized and co-curated by Kim Kim Gallery, infamous for its 'crazy marketing' style.
